Light is the one of the main things that is needed for a photo. Without light the image would come out completely black. Three of the cameras functions control of the amount of light (Shutter, Aperture, ISO). For instance, shutter speed controls how much light is allowed to enter the image depending on the speed. If the shutter speed is too high, no light would be allowed to enter the image and it would be completely black.

Light can create soft or hard shadows if the light is interrupted by a person or object. Light can also be used to make people look amazing.
