On our trip to New York on the 15th our main goal was to capture street photography. Street photography is capturing the of life in the mundane, which basically means taking pictures of everyday life. There are many different types of street photography. There is the decisive moment which is consists of timing, precision, and the kodak moment. Juxtaposition has to do with irony. Surrealism is creating things that are not very odd, it makes you wonder. Image interaction is when a subject interacts with the camera, and finally symbols, like signs, arrows, and lines.
I chose this photo because I believe that this is a good example of street photography. This photo consists of more than one technique of street photography. Specifically The decisive moment, and image interaction. My decisive moment was mostly timing with the bus moving in background. I took it right when the bus was moving so it could provide a simple background. Image interaction is visible here because the model is interacting with the photo by throwing up a peace sign. I didn't catch him off guard.
When I was doing street photography on this trip I really felt comfortable about it, and I didn't have a problem with doing it. The trip for me was very successful. I didn't see many other things accept for people because all of my photos consisted of people in them. I enjoyed the trip and street photography is my favorite technique of photography because I like taking pictures of people.
