what Is NY made of ?

Street photography for me means to capture the everyday moments of A typical day . In this Case we went to New York . New York has a different flow than new jersey , everything is fast paced and spontaneous. Some may say NY is weird ,But then again, who is to say what normal is? In New York We took pictures of strangers in public spaces in order to capture a moment that last forever. and emotion that is able to express a lifetime worth of living.

Yesterday we went to New York and took photographs of people in Midtown Manhattan. Something that I noticed about yesterday in particular was that people are used to seeing cameras aimed at buildings and monuments, statues and architecture. But most of the people seemed surprised when they saw the eye of the camera staring at them , focusing on their actions , diligently waiting for the camera to blink it's eye and record a moment in history that will last a lifetime . People seemed surprised because in New York it seems like no one individual person stands out in the crowd and to have a photograph taken of them seems weird. The picture to the right and below are two photographs that caught my attention because they express a couple of things . The clock represents a time in history , a time in where progress was something everyone waited for. Time in essence is one of the heaviest intangible weights one can carry.  In the next photograph we see the progress that was long awaited for.  A progress that is essential in understanding what New York is all About.

  1. The lighting or filter that was used on the 1st picture I think gave it a very classic tone, and being that it captured a common scene it portrays simplicity very well.
