a day in the city

a camera is a very complex instrument of for art that can be used by anybody . Even thought every kid with a iPhone and a Instagram is technically a photographer , they are not necessarily good ones, even though often times we see average instagram pages with great photos. What they don't know is that they subconsciously use professional techniques such as composition and photography ideas. composition can be anything like texture and emotion to balance and symmetry. And Photography ideas are are ideas of what your taking a picture of  such as a portrait which is a picture of a animal or a person. to be a photographer you must be able to conversant and fully understand terms like  ISO, shutter speed aperture and leading lines. ISO is The international standard measurement of a camera sensitivity to light. exposure time is the length of time a cameras shutter is open when taking a photograph, And aperture is the amount of light a camera takes in.

wile we were in New York i used shutter speed to catch picture in motion, such as birds in mid flight and planes taking off.  I tried to to apply my knowledge  to diversify the types of photos i used on the trip such as curved  lines when i had a picture of a simply handrails which pulled the viewers eye into the center of the photo.
another technique I used was leading lines. which is  a technique that uses lines to lead your eyes to the main idea of the picture

and lastly i used reflection to catch parts of  a building so that it look almost as if the photo was coming at you.

my three best photos where the 3 i displayed. The first one i used was a one of the best because to me its a atypical view, its looks like a vortex almost and it pulls the eye to the center of the photo. the Watch your steep one was good because of the irony and the bright leading lines led your eyes to the the  letters . and the building with the reflection was one that really popped out
