Trip to NYC

So far what I've learned is that there are many elements that affect a photograph. Shutter speed - How much light is allowed to enter the lens, Aperture - the size of the hole when the light has entered, ISO - light sensitivity on the object or person - and lastly lighting, which can be artificial light such as flash or natural light like the sun. I also learned how to use compositional techniques that would allow me to give meaning to my pictures and also give a different look to it by changing the perspective.

On my first trip to the city,  I tried to use three elements (Shutter, Aperture, ISO) to expose all my images correctly. Compensating for each element so that my picture wouldn't be under or over exposed. I also used one of many compositional technique (curving lines) to direct the viewers eye to my point of interest. I took fragments of objects (above) to give viewers something to look at from a different perspective.

My best photos were taken with the intention to have my viewers wondering what I took a picture of. One of the best photos of this day (to the right) would make the viewer think about what they are looking at, which would be my favorite technique/way of taking photos.
