Light is the most important aspect of a photograph. Too much light your picture is destroyed; not enough light, then its useless. If you have the correct amount of light or exposure needed for that picture then you will have a nice picture. A photographer should be aware of light and its temperature, quality, direction, and quantity. Quality can be evident by the shadow your subject produces under that light. Direction, where your light source is coming from. Quantity, are there other light sources that come into play when you take your picture. There are factors you can control to have a picture with correct exposure because the lighting in an area might not always be good. These factors are shutter speed, aperture, ISO. The shutter speed controls how long the opening is open for when you take that picture. Aperture is how big the opening is that lets in light. Finally, ISO is how sensitive your sensor is to the light that comes in through the opening.
