Middle Earth Manhattan

Our trip to New York City yesterday took us to probably the best part of Manhattan. While walking around the streets the thing I saw the most was advertisements of all kinds, shapes, and sizes. Many places I saw included Ripleys Believe it Or Not Museum, I passed by the Wax Museum. I also passed by many sport stores like Adidas, Nike, etc. The types of photos I took included, landscape, Fragments, Leading Lines. I took many pattern and repetition photos. Although street photography was not my best, I attempted once again, to try and capture good ones. They were few, but much better the second time around. Mostly I was just trying to walk through busy, and crowded streets because I was trying to find a lot of interesting action going on.

This first picture I took was chosen because in the photo Dr. Lansang looks like he is pointing at the price of the little board, and is making fun of it. I found it funny because his provocative face looks like he disagrees with the price of the item being advertised, and that he would not buy this item at that price. I took interest in this picture because it was a very precise moment that I captured the photo, and it displays an image interaction between the advertisement and Dr. Lansang. There is a sort of clever joke or pun to it with a little mix of an interesting picture to look at and really study what you're looking at.

The next picture taken that I chose was one of a woman probably on her lunch break about to take a drink of her water bottle. It was especially funny to me because when I took the picture I thought she had put on a type of pose for the camera or something like that. When I was reviewing my pictures I actually saw that she was giving me a kind of nasty look. It looked as if she saw that I took the picture, but she did not have enough time to really react with a verbal response or put her hand up. In my opinion I found this picture to be a kind of precise moment because I caught this woman at the beginning of her scorning reaction.

After looking at all my pictures, I could not help but laugh at all of them because they will all be memories that I will not forget about. Even though I am not the best photographer, or in that case, a very good one I still believe I did a pretty good job for someone with the limited knowledge that I have. To me in my eyes the trip was actually pretty fun because I was with good friends, I saw many cool things and many people. Other then photographing, and walking around I also relaxed in a shady place, I had a good time with my classmates, and we talked to a lot of nice, pretty women. I hope to enjoy my last trip, but at the same time I want to take some really good pictures so that I can have more to add to my good memories every time  I went to New York.
