My overall experience of the class was very enjoyable. My favorite days consisted of having lunch at Chipotle. Traveling on the Path to New York City was always memorable each and every trip. Framing the landscape of diverse faces and unusual attire captured my attention. Walking through New York's landmarks was phenomenal, especially looking at the Big Apple with a new perspective. I feel as if I have unlocked a new fascination and aspiration to improve on my photography skills and a desire to take pictures.
I have recognized in a few of my exhibit photos, the main focus of the image are hands. Hands have a variety of connotations. Hands represent power, strength, love, peace, destruction, and other similar ideas. I named my first image "intimate" because when a couple is willing to hold hands in public it shows the couple's bond and closeness. The next photo of the light switch came out focused which is quite strange, considering the darkness and my inability to even see the light switch in the cameras lens. I am also intrigued by the angle because you are unable to tell whether the light switch is on or off.
My last photo "No No" as it says in the photo is really special to me because I admire street photography. Street photography involves snapping pictures of people. People can either brighten or darken the mood of a picture and bring a spectrum of emotions. I grasped a wealth of knowledge in this course and I hope to develop on my newly found skills. I had an amazing time composing pictures this spring and it will be extremely hard to have a better spring phase next year.
